About the Gallery...

The Artists Gallery opened its doors in May of 1998.  Since the beginning, the Artists Gallery has been a cooperative gallery comprised of artists from Southeastern Wisconsin and Northeastern Illinois.  The gallery has a wide variety of artists working in a wide variety of media.  There are acrylic painters, glass artists, jewelry artists, photographers, printmakers, sculptors, textile artists watercolorists, and woodturners.  For many years, the gallery was located at 414 Sixth Street.  In 2007, the gallery moved to its beautiful new location at 312 Sixth Street, the former Martha Merrell's bookstore.  The new space shows off all of the artwork to its best advantage and gives the gallery the space to conduct lectures, workshops and art classes.  As the gallery celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2008, it looks forward to all of the great possibilities that lie ahead for the growing arts district along historic Sixth Street in Racine just west of Monument Square.
